HPC IN ASIA-PACIFIC

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 1:00-3:35 pm in Hall 4 - ground floor

ISC24 will include regional updates from across the Asia-Pacific region and application-focused presentations from national HPC programs within this focal technical and economic region. Following regional updates, representatives from the Asia-Pacific will be joined by counterparts from Europe and North America in a moderated panel discussion to explore and share their insights, challenges, and opportunities to strengthen regional collaboration and innovation in HPC.

HPC IN LATIN AMERICA

Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 9:00-10:15 am in Hall 4 - ground floor

The HPC in Latin America session strives to provide an overview about the status of HPC infrastructures, projects, initiatives and applications in the very diverse landscape of HPC in Latin America. It will feature a report on the outcomes of the EU/LATAM RISC2 project, a three-year networking project to foster collaborations between HPC actors in LATAM and Europe, most notably the white paper on HPC research, development, and innovation in LATAM. Presenters from two trans-national HPC collaborations in LATAM, namely RedCLARA (Cooperación Latino Americana de Redes Avanzadas) and SCALAC (Sistema de Computación Avanzada para Latino América y el Caribe) will highlight HPC initiatives and applications in Latin America.

EUROHPC

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 10:45 am -12:00 pm in Hall Z - third floor

This session will focus on presentations regarding the latest initiatives by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, opportunities available to users in enterprises and institutions, reports on the top-performing supercomputers funded by EuroHPC, and demonstrations of successful use cases tackling societal challenges. Specifically, the session will cover MareNostrum5 and JUPITER, as well as the "Destination Earth" use case.
