ISC Industrial Day and HPC in Asia

The Industrial Day and HPC in Asia program will be presented as stand-alone sessions within the Invited Program.

Now in its eighth year, the Industrial Day, was developed to introduce companies to HPC and AI technologies via successful use cases that increased the competitive edge of these businesses. The 2020 track is organized by Maike Gilliot of TERATEC and Andreas Wierse from Sicos BW GmbH. The Industrial Day track will take place on Tuesday, June 23.

HPC in Asia on Wednesday, June 24, is a half-day session that provides updates on HPC developments in the region, including the latest HPC-enabled application research. The session includes both invited talks and Research Posters. The 2020 HPC in Asia is headed by chair Lin Gan of Tsinghua University and Wuxi National Supercomputing Centre.

Starting this year, a dedicated committee consisting of industry-recognized HPC and Machine Learning practitioners, will be designing the program.

This change is in accordance with the ISC Contributed Program, which has enjoyed an exceptional level of community involvement since 2015. By involving active HPC and ML practitioners, the Invited Program topics are aligned with timely developments in the field that reflect the dynamic nature of the high performance computing landscape.

The Invited Program Committee consists of the following members:

  • ISC 2020 Program Chair (David Keyes, Kaust) and Deputy Program Chair (Martin Schulz, TU/Munich)
  • ISC program team (with Gerhard Wellein & Georg Hager of Erlangen Regional Computing Center)
  • Five newly appointed track leaders

The five track leaders are well-known researchers in their respective fields within the HPC community. They will be lending their expertise in organizing the ISC Invited Program tracks for the 2020 and 2021 conferences as follows:

ISC Keynotes and Distinguished Speaker Series

The Monday – Wednesday Keynotes and the Distinguished Speaker Series will be announced on the website between mid-February to early March. The full agenda will be available online when registration opens in mid-March.
