HPC IN ASIA AT ISC 2019

The HPC in Asia Session is a unique opportunity at ISC High Performance. This half-day session provides an insight into the high performance computing research, trends, successes and challenges experienced by the various Asian countries.

The 2019 program is designed to offer these three parts:

  1. Status reports from nine countries (Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand)
  2. HPC in Asia Poster Session*
  3. Invited Talks & Panel Discussion

*This year, we have merged the HPC in Asia Posters with the ISC Research Posters. Posters by researchers in Asia are presented at the regular Poster Session and the HPC in Asia Poster Session.

 

Invited Talks & Panel Discussion

The invited talks will be given by Mitsuhisa Sato of RIKEN, Japan, on software project towards exascale system in Japan. Jidong Zhai from Tsinghua University, China will speak on large-scale scientific simulations, and finally Hirotaka Tamura, a representative from Fujitsu Laboratories, Japan, will present Fujitsu's digital annealer to the audience.

The panel discussion will involve all the countries involved in the program. 

 

HPC in Asia Posters

All accepted HPC in Asia posters, reviewed by the ISC 2019 Research Posters / HPC in Asia Posters Committee, will be displayed at ISC High Performance, and poster authors will have the opportunity to discuss with the attendees during the HPC in Asia Poster Session on Wednesday, June 19. Moreover, the posters will be on display on Tuesday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 19, alongside the ISC Research Posters.
